Here We Go Again – Japan Trip Booked

I feel like I often live most of my life just for the opportunity to go back to Japan. This will be our 5th adventure there in the last 11 years. And needless to say, we always overspend at the Pokémon Centers. Our biggest transaction in one go was 60,846円 so about $560 usd at the time in Sept of 2019….if only we knew what was going to happen to the world just a few months later.

We did not have our next trip to Japan until Sept of 2025, and I had just found out my step-mom had been diagnosed with Terminal Lung Cancer, but she insisted we go. We spent a lot of time in the Kanagawa Prefecture, a true gem of a place, full of history. But you come here for Pokémon, not Japanese history (although do I have a Youtube channel for you if you do!) This time will be most of our time in the Chugoku and northern Chubu region.

I’ve made it through XY era in adding set symbols to the website. I’ve pretty much given up on being able to fix the font in mobile view. If I make it much smaller, it’s going to be even harder to read.

Took second place at our LGS tournament this weekend. Royally stomped by baby box. Igglybuff out here committing war crimes.

It’s a deck that completely falls apart if you have any ability to place damage counters, but seeing as our local meta is very against Dragapult, there was nothing much to stop the child menaces with how fast it can knock things out. I will actually be very interested which way the meta swings after rotation, just because that darn Dragapult has had such a stronghold. It’s a blessing and a curse that no one locally plays it…but it also means we don’t get as much experience with it.
